Main duties and responsibilities Reporting and working closely with the Sales Director and Managing Director. The Marketing & Business Development Specialist shall identify and seize new opportunities such as new suppliers, products, markets & ventures. Help in planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives. In addition to the below detailed tasks description.
Sales: Receive client inquiries for paper specialties and matching them with supplier (mill) availability and closing sale. Receive mill allocation availability, locating an appropriate client and closing sale. Develop pipeline of clients Follow up on sales transactions with market coordinators and taking appropriate and early action in the event of any problem, potential delay, missing documents etc. proactively and quickly. Handle client complaints and grievances in a timely and proactive manner. Maintain regular contact with clients and prospects. Oversee payment collection from clients through the responsible market coordinator and intervene where necessary.
Oversee payment to supplier (mill) through accounting department. Participate in sales meetings and come up with creative, effective ideas for business growth, client satisfaction, supplier and product development etc. Respect sales targets and take early remedial action when under-performing.
Business Development: Develop a pipeline of new suppliers (mills) for Paper Specialties, paper & pulp and/or any other suppliers. Attend sales meetings and follow up on decisions and actions. Ensure market updates are produced and exchanged at the right quality and frequency, and proper follow-up/action plan. Supervise the sales forecasts and targets and support the Sales Division managers to ensure successful flow of business process. Communicate with suppliers (mills) periodically to ensure all customer service-related problems and concerns are resolved pro-actively from both ends and sales allocation targets are adequately met. Assist in the preparation and delivery of proposals on a case by case basis with the overall aim of increasing the company’s turnover and return. Work closely with the management to deliver business growth.
Marketing: Market studies and marketing research to support sales and business development activities Supervise Suppliers and clients’ satisfaction surveys and take actions when needed to improve and ensure constant stability with both through sales team. Help in developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met. Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
